About The Blues Beatles

The Blues Beatles started by accident. In 2013, between rehearsal breaks for a Sao Paulo original band called Today, vocalist Marcos Viana would pick up an acoustic guitar and play Beatles songs. The rest of the group, all rooted in blues, naturally rearranged them. The result was something that felt less like tribute and more like discovery: familiar melodies stripped down, rebuilt with organ, slide guitar, and groove.

20 million video views. 300,000 Facebook followers. 16 international tours across the U.S. and Europe since 2017.

The five-piece includes Marcos Viana on vocals, Flavio Naves on organ and piano, Fred Sunwalk on electric guitar, Bruno Falcao on bass, and Fred Barley on drums. Their 2016 album "Get Back to the Blues" was recorded at Space Blues Studios in Sao Paulo. Their rendition of "A Hard Day's Night" hit one million video views in a single week. "Let It Blues" followed in 2019.

They have completed 11 U.S. tours and 5 European runs since 2017, playing Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas, Knuckleheads Saloon in Kansas City, and festivals across Scandinavia. Their U.S. touring is managed by Road Dawg Touring Co. out of Evergreen, Colorado.

GBJ gets them twice: headlining the free 9th Street Plaza stage Friday night at 7 PM, then returning Saturday afternoon at 2 PM on the Island Grove main stage.
