Danielle Nicole Schnebelen grew up in Kansas City playing bass and singing alongside her brothers in Trampled Under Foot. That family band won the 2008 International Blues Challenge and took home the 2014 Blues Music Award for Contemporary Blues Album of the Year with "Badlands." The same year, Danielle became the first woman to win the BMA for Instrumentalist in the bass category.

Her solo career launched in 2015 with a debut on Concord Records produced alongside Anders Osborne. "Cry No More" followed in 2018, debuted at number one on Billboard's Blues chart, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and has since crossed 13 million Spotify streams. The album featured Walter Trout, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Luther Dickinson.
Her 2024 release "The Love You Bleed" on Forty Below Records hit number one on Billboard Blues, iTunes, and Amazon Music. Produced by Tony Braunagel, it cemented her reputation as one of the most consistent forces in modern blues.
She has won the BMA for Bass Instrumentalist five times, Contemporary Blues Female Artist twice, and was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame. She takes the Island Grove main stage at 6 PM Saturday, right before Robert Randolph closes the night.
