Bobby C is a Greeley original. His blues Americana sound draws a direct line from Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Howlin' Wolf, and Jimmy Reed through the blues joints of Dallas and back to Northern Colorado. The BCUB Sessions, recorded at blues clubs in Texas, document that journey.
Traditional blues and jump blues from Greeley. Influences run from the Mississippi Delta through Texas honky-tonks to the Northern Colorado Front Range.
Also performing under the name The Bluelligans, Bobby C has been a fixture of the Greeley blues scene, playing 2454 West, Nissi's, and previous editions of Greeley Blues Jam. The music is rooted in tradition: no frills, no effects pedals trying too hard, just blues played the way it was meant to hit.
He takes the Colorado Busker Stage at 5:15 PM Saturday, right as the late afternoon sun starts to cool. Good timing for the kind of blues that pairs with a cold drink and a lawn chair.
Saturday, June 6 at Island Grove Regional Park. Gates open at 11 AM.
